Eric Schelter Receives EPA Green Chemistry Award

Associate Professor Eric Schelter has been selected as the academic recipient of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 2017 Green Chemistry Challenge Award. The Green Chemistry Challenge Awards promote the environmental and economic benefits of developing and using novel green chemistry. Eric is receiving his award for his innovations in the recycling of rare earth metals.

The Department of Chemistry is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Professor David Chandler of the University of California, Berkeley. Prof. Chandler spent two years on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania before beginning his remarkable career at Berkeley.
