"If You Build Enabling Chemical Platforms, Probes and Therapeutics Will Come"
-The process of discovering biologically active molecules is paramount to the field of chemical biology and therapeutic discovery. Achieving potent and selective small molecules to a target of interest are major early goals for the development of small molecule probes and therapeutics. We have developed two enabling chemical platforms: DNA-Encoded Libraries (DELs) and Systematic Chemical Diversity (SCD) for addressing these goals with greater efficiency. The lecture will discuss the general principles underling DEL and SCD and their application to generating potent and selective small molecules.
